About Me

Growing up in Western Uganda, I developed a deep appreciation for stories—the kind that connect people, preserve culture, and inspire change. Creativity has always been more than an interest to me; it has been the way I understand the world and express ideas that matter. My name is Turyahebwa Goodluck, an African filmmaker and visual storyteller driven by the belief that powerful stories can enrich lives and create impact. This passion led me to study at Artfield Institute of Design, where I pursued a Diploma in Motion Graphics and Visual Communication, building a foundation in visual storytelling, design, and creative communication. Over time, my journey expanded beyond filmmaking into mastering the technical and creative aspects of production—from cinematography, lighting, and production gear to narrative direction and post-production. Today, I work across the full creative pipeline as a cinematographer, filmmaker, director, editor, and digital creator, with skills in motion graphics, video editing, graphic design, web design, and broadcast design. For me, storytelling is not only about creating visuals—it is about creating experiences, amplifying voices, and using creativity to build stories that leave a meaningful impact on the world. This version reads like a personal journey rather than a résumé. It feels more human, which works well for portfolios, websites, documentary profiles, and filmmaker bios.
